Superb Charr Carvings can be traded for Mask of the Mo Zing from Vael, and they're always 100g like everyone has said. They can also be traded for various collector weapons from Swift Fiercejustice in Doomlore Shrine.
Charr Carvings can be traded for low level collector weapons in post searing. Also for the holiday items: Ghost-in-the-Box, Squash Serum, Witch's Brew, Vial of Absinthe, Eggnog, Fruitcake, Snowman Summoner, Wintergreen Candy Cane.
Hope that's a little more in depth help for you.

1 char carving in pre usually sells for 15g each. A stack around 4-5k.
3 carvings = 1 party point when halloween, wintersday etc comes around. There are either lots of money to be made from power trading these things or a quick (but not easy, due to lack of) title for GWAMM.
Superb charr carvings are for the mask of mo zing, 1= 100g and usually sought after in NF areas.
